CreateAI CEO Cheng Lu Joins Hollywood Film Workshop to Discuss the Global Future of IP in the AI Era

On April 24, the 16th Beijing International Film Festival hosted the Hollywood Film Workshop, a major industry program co-organized by the Beijing International Film Festival and the Motion Picture Association (MPA). Centered on “Reimagining the Value of Film and Television IP in the Age of AI,” the event brought together leading figures from the Chinese and international film industries to explore how technology is reshaping content creation and IP development.

CreateAI President and CEO Cheng Lu joined a roundtable discussion with executives and creators from Shanghai Film, iQIYI, Light Chaser Animation, The Three-Body Universe and other leading companies. The panel addressed full-cycle IP development, AI-powered content production and the global potential of Chinese stories.

Cheng Lu noted that while AI is accelerating content production, enduring value still comes from compelling IP with long-term creative potential. By connecting films, games and other media, companies can bring IP to wider global audiences and build sustainable content ecosystems.

CreateAI will continue to apply AI across games, animation and cinematic storytelling, creating new pathways for Chinese IP to reach audiences around the world.
